I want to respond to the negative reviews of myself that have been left here. With regard to Mr. Ensley's review, I want to make it clear that I have never met Mr. Ensley or worked with him in anyway. It is unfortunate that in the course of my work with children, I often enter into family dynamics that are difficult and relationships that are broken. I make every effort to preserve family relationships and improve family dynamics within the limits of my role and ethical standards. Unfortunately, becoming involved in complicated family situations does not always win me favor with everyone involved.
With regard to the review left by Jessica Goldman, this is a completely unfair review. Firstly, her contact with me was in regard to my work in a completely different agency and capacity. This had nothing to do with my work at Associates in Counseling. Further, she contacted me and I returned her call. She advised at the beginning of the call that she didn't have time to talk, as she was rushing out to catch a plane. I suggested that I would call back at another time. She went on to tell me that she wanted to schedule a time to talk on the phone. I hesitated on the phone, because I did not have a release of information to speak with her about the client and she was wishing to speak to me in the near future, and I literally had no open time to offer her, with every hour on the hour booked for a month ahead. She verbalized that she was "getting the vibe" that I didn't want to talk to her. I told her that it was not that I didn't want to be helpful, but that I did not know of a good time to offer her. She then suggested that I come in before work, or after work to make time to talk with her. This seemed intrusive and I needed time to think about what might work. I asked her to send me the legally required release of information and told her I would then try to respond to her needs. I never got that release of information and therefore never had any further contact with her. I am shocked that she left such a defacing review, when she knows nothing of my work.
