Bob Evans

I like good restaurant comfort good, love very good comfort food, and adore excellent comfort food. It's unusual for any given Bob Evans restaurant to perform at a level differing significantly from the chain. All seem to operate at a specific level of service (typically friendly, helpful and competent), cleanliness (usually better than local average for its type of offerings), demographics (mostly a price-sensitive and/or middle-aged customer base), and food quality (average, and almost entirely driven by the kitchen staff). This location was typical of the chain. The food was competently prepared and as good (and as bland) as expected, but i had no higher expectations; that is, I wasn't expecting great. It seems as though the Bobs avoid spicing anything and don't provide much beyond S&P at the table, so request anything else you might need. If you find an outstanding BE store, flag it! Especially if the food breaks into the 'Very good' or 'Excellent' level.
