Carrabba's Italian Grill

I have been eating at this Carrabas for almost 10 years, and I feel the quality has gone down hill a bit. I just went there for my birthday dinner this evening. Our waitress shared that it was her first night, so that may have contributed to our service that was below what you would expect from a restaurant of this price range. It was wine Wednesday, so each guest in my group ordered a glass of sangria. Our glasses were served about half full, compared to the very full glasses at tables around us. My meal and my mother’s looked much less appealing than the pictures on the menu. We both ordered seasonal specials. Mine had significantly less chicken and veggies than I expected and an over-abundance of pasta. The taste was also very minimal, so I had to add marinara and crushed red pepper to make it enjoyable. They also do not give a free dessert with your meal for your birthday. This is a pretty common courtesy to guests at most restaurants in the area, so this was also disappointing. We paid $75 for 3 dinners plus tip, so I really don’t see how a complimentary dessert would be a major strain on the restaurant. I will be going to a different restaurant from now on for special occasions. I no longer feel the food and service is worth the price.
