Hmmmm where do I start? Currently in a lawsuit involving the Clark County Jail. I was put in "the hole"and not giving my psychiatric medications, or my medications in general. I was not allowed to see a doctor.once I saw a nurse who gave me a medicine for WDs that I was ALLERGIC to. I was bonded out after 7 days but by that point I was catatonic because I had gone through benzodiazepine withdrawal I was also malnourished, dehydrated, my potassium was "dangerously low". I was bonded out but yet wheeled out in a wheelchair from the jail to the back of an ambulance my SAT levels were low - 91- Bp 169/134 and I was taken to men health. Now this is after I was bonded out and I had two medications that I signed into my property when arrested if someone were to just have let me go and let me have those medications (my RXd meds) I could have snapped out of the catatonic state. My husband bonded me out but yet the guards told me that my husband didn't want to speak to me. I was unable to use the restroom on my own they had put a diaper on me in the jail. Clark County Jail then sent me to you would guess a hospital right? No they sent me to mental health in Springfield Ohio. Mental health sent me to Springfield Regional Hospital. Springfield Regional said it was too big and I was sent to Miami Valley Hospital. Miami Valley Hospital careflighted me to Ohio State University. Ohio State finally gave me the medications that I've been on for 15 years and I got back well I got back right. I have PTSD so life is never simple but I appreciate things a lot more now. So 6 hours later after meds I was up I was walking I was able to feed myself I was able to use the restroom myself. This one could have all been prevented if the Clark County Jail had given me medication for my blood pressure had given me my anti-anxiety medicine also my antidepressant. My blood pressure at one point in the jail was 172 / 129. And at the hospital they had said I had a mini-stroke! I'm 35! I also had more than a "dozen seizures in the past 48 hours" which means I went through it in the Clark County Jail. I don't want this to happen to anyone else and I was only in there because someone said that I threatened to hit them. All the deputies have a chip on their shoulder excuse me being so crass, but they get off on the power that they THINK they have even though they're just like you and me and I saw plenty of illegal activity and downright gross activity between the deputies and inmates while I was in there. So they're like us but worse. They almost killed me the doctors at OSU said another 36 hours and I could have I would have probably ended up in the morgue. So me suing is not about the money. It's about I had a stroke at 35 it's about they put a diaper on me I had multiple seizures I started menstruating the second day and was not given tampons or pads and I remember being on the floor just covered in my own blood it is disgusting and is filthy I caught some type of toe fungus. It's just horrible and someone should shut the jail down just demolish it and start anew. And hire new deputies preferably ones that weren't picked on in high school and have a Messiah (albeit misguided as hell). Complex. I don't know if it's the new sheriff but this jail has gotten progressively worse in the past two years. And why too once you're in the jail you have to take a shower in front of a woman. the Jail should given me medication for my blood pressure had given me my anti-anxiety medicine my antidepressant. My blood pressure at one point in the jail was 172 over 129. after hospital they did said I had a mini stroke. And the disgusting things that go on the deputies that do favors for the female inmates while the female inmates do favors. I thought things would change with a new sheriff. somehow she's worse then Scarface AKA Gene Kelly newsheriff doesn't have the huevos to straighten that jail up. Thank God I'm moving.. Please, Springfield, join together, do something. Wrong place wrong time , anyone could end up in the ccj.
