I'll start with an admitted bias: I worked at Erie Island for about three years but as far as Cleveland coffee shops are concerned, this was my favorite place well before I started working there. The coffee and espresso drinks are great, the vibe is comfortable (if sometimes busy, depending on the time of day; if you want a seat during the day, scope it out early and hang around for a while. At night, it tends to be more relaxed). The employees are friendly and fun and the store is well-kept and maintained. The bakery is supplied by local bakers and makes a nice addition to the coffee offerings. As a customer, I have never had a bad experience.
