My Rolex had been subjected to a broken crystal and an ocean swim. Would not keep time any more. It was sent to Switzerland to be repaired. When it came back it would still not keep accurate time. I took it to Gold Star and their jeweler fixed it. It now keeps perfect time. I have used their service many times with outstanding results for a fair price. They really know what they are doing. I highly recommend them.
I went in with some old inherited watches I wanted assessed, and a Citizen watch only a few years old that needed a band replaced. They weren't rude, but they weren't nice either. Only a couple watches were worth repairing, but they couldn't tell me how much the items may be worth after repair. In general he either couldn't or wouldn't answer my questions. They quoted me over $150 dollars to order a band from citizen for my watch. I sat in my car in the parking lot and ordered one from citizen myself for $30. Were they charging me $120 labor to change a watch band, trying to scam me, or trying to get me to leave for wasting their time? I don't know, but I sure won't be back.
