I paid good money to talk at someone while she nodded and looked concerned. Ineffective as a therapist for general depression-anxiety, at least for me. I cannot speak for her bariatric counseling. Often she could not remember things we had previously discussed meaning I had to go over it again and again. Gave me assignments to do between appointments but then never asked about them. Seemed kind of bothered by me. Eventually told me to go to a month's worth of outpatient therapy, which would require me to quit my job or take leave (and then be fired for some other "reason") as the sessions were during the day time. This didn't seem unreasonable to her.
Did not contact her or her office at the time again, as I didn't do the out-patient treatment. They made no effort to contact me either. This was the first time in many years I had seen someone, which took some effort. The experience was underwhelming.
