We moved to Lake County in 2004 and started looking for a church home. Some churches we visited were so big we felt lost in the crowd. Others were so small that we felt we were on the outside looking in.
Like Goldilocks, we eventually found a "just right" fit at Mentor Baptist.
The people of Mentor Baptist welcomed us. Despite the fact that some members had been there a half-century or more, we were not made to feel like outsiders. Instead, we were welcomed into the family and encouraged to use our gifts in ministry.
The worship style is upbeat and contemporary, but not an over-produced stage show as is sometimes found in "megachurches." California ex-pat Pastor Brian Landrum (aka "PB") preaches about what the Bible teaches about real human needs in real modern lives.
