Stampers Barbershop

If you enjoy gambling with your personal appearance, this is your barbershop. On my first visit, I asked for a fairly standard cut- long enough on top to be combed, shorter on the sides. My first inkling that something was wrong began when I noticed that she was standing on her toes and craning her neck to try to see the top of my head while trimming away with her electric trimmer. When it was all over and she turned my chair to the mirror, I was greeted with what I would describe as a backwards mullet- a patchy buzz cut over most of my head, with a clump of long hair left to hang over my forehead. Whatever you're imagining right now, it was worse than that. I didn't argue at this point, I simply paid, went home, and finished cutting my hair with a dull butter knife, which made things a little better. Now, I need to qualify this story and explain that there are two barber stools at Stampers, and depending on which barber you draw when you sit down, you may or may not end up with the haircut you asked for. The child who took the neighboring stool while my hair was getting butchered ended up with a great haircut. Choose wisely.
