The worst hospital in Toledo. I'm pretty sure you could break into riverside and get better care from the homeless who reside inside.
At utmc, the nurses/nurse aids/students are all running around like chickens with their head cut off. There's zero communication in this place between each other, and onto the patient themself. My father-in-law has been in and out of there against his will (because he is staying at rehabilitation) and has no idea what is going on most of the time. We have to always asks the kids who are assisting with his recovery for some type of explanation. This isn't on the kids, they are working hard to learn and better themselves, and doing the best they can to improve their patients well being, under the chaos of their management or lack thereof.
My father in law was initially taken here for heart problems, and they let a foot ulcer get so badly infected that his foot may fall off.. it's been a grueling intensive 2 month recovery, which is barely a recovery at all. He's asked for cough medicine several times, and other amenities such as an extra pillow, and never received any of the stuff he's asked for. Which wouldn't be a big deal, except for its always someone new in his room, and no passes the message on. So the next person is bewildered, and they don't come back and then the next person is in the same boat. It's a recycling pattern of madness. No one can explain anything around there.
Do yourself a favor and demand an ambulance take you to the next closest hospital if your life isn't in immediate jeopardy. In fact if your life is in jeopardy, you might as well say your goodbyes, because this place is the grim reaper's home.
