Just walked out of dr Weber office after 32 yrs.On every appt both my husband and I have accompanied our child/children to the exam room. In fact, On a recent visit I accompanied both my 13 yr old daughter and 12 yr old son in the same exam room,( which I thought was weird.)However this time my husband and I were to accompany our young adult son, whom is battling social anxiety disorder and struggles to communicate. His previous appt we both accompanied him for support and Weber gave the obvious impression that our son should not be accompanied, which was again weird considering his struggle. It was as if Weber was backing him in a corner. Our son attempted an appt on his own which only left him more discouraged and frustrated. Weber did not increase medication or make an outside referral after our son expressed no change. He has since had to quit his job. I called to make another appt. specifically stating with our sons approval his 2 parents (which my husband had to take off work for) would be accompanying him. We stressed that we don't think Weber understood how serious this is. They said no problem and we made the appt. However when we arrived we were told only 1 person could accompany our son. Again weird, beyond weird now frustrating. We are there to support our son and our son is reaching for help that he can't express and Weber now says it's policy (strange never was before and even more strange he now all of a sudden Weber was not supportive of our family support.) I asked for a copy of the policy and now was told there was none. Then we were told the rooms are to small ( strange never was before in fact one room is bigger than most family rooms.) Then we were told doctors discretion. Again Weber determined to "back us in a corner". I can now see why people with this disorder become so frustrated and shut down and even suicidal. This is not the kind of help any parent needs or deserve. As long as I'm living..their mother I'll be.

Dr. Weber is wonderful. I have seen him for nearly 20 years. He is always so compassionate. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
