This location is in the same grouping as suburban animal hospital. My family and i have used them for years. I took my little Chiuhuhua in there for an abscessed tooth. They said it needed to be extracted so we made the appointment. Dropped him off in the morning and I get a call from the person picking him up that they not only pulled the abscessed tooth, but the pulled a total of 26 teeth without even a single phone call to me. I understand that they must of needed to come out, but they had been in his mouth multiple times to look and I would have assumed that they would have said hey we may have to pull some more. But nope... just surprise oh we pulled 26 teeth.. here's your total. So then complications arose. Multiple times I called because he just wouldn't stop coughing. I was told multiple times just to come in and pick up a prescription. I even asked to speak to the vet who did the surgery when i picked up one of the "guessed" prescriptions and she came out during a dental so I could show her a video of what was happening as they apparently didn't want me to bring him in. She came put hands behind he back and said "oh I'm doing a dental and it's awfully bloody like your little ones was". Now really? I understand surgery, I've had them before, but for that comment to be made just proved that I had made the wrong decision. It came down to one Saturday morning when I finally called and said look something is wrong. This little guy has coughed for 4 days now. They squeezed me into their schedule and I took him in. She examined him, told me she wanted to take some X-RAYS and brought me into the x-ray room, showed me the screen and said here's what it is.. he's got an enlarged heart... aka congestive heart failure. Put him on a pill and off I went. He continued to cough, and things sounded like fluid so I took him in again and she put him on a water pill. Basically told me it's a matter of time. So I wasn't accepting that answer due to the circus I had gone through and called another vet that came highly recommended to me. From the get go it was amazing! When I called the new vet (not either suburban or kentown) they were friendly, and you weren't asked to hold right away. We needed up taking him in for an exam, met with the new Drs and come to find out that by little one did not have congestive heart failure, and he shouldn't have been on all the water pills... here the poor little guy has had indigestion that was caused from the intubation. So off all the meds he came, onto acid reflux medication he went and he was back to his good old self. So I know this is a long review, but please heed my warning. If you go to this vet be sure to see Dr. Schroeth, or Dr. Clark. Do not let them stick you with the new Dr. there.
