Local Smoke is a family owned BBQ on Gay St in Mt Vernon, featuring organic, non-GMO ingredients, locally sourced if possible. Their signature sandwich is tender house rubbed and smoked pulled pork served on a brioche bun. They also serve local Brats & fried Bologna, house smoked wings, and free range egg sandwiches. Newest offering on the menu is a smoked chicken and bacon with Quesadilla with melted Guggisberg baby swiss cheese . They make their own sides from scratch, mac & cheese and baked beans are smoked in the same smoker as their meats. I've eaten here several times over the last couple weeks, all delicious!
